2004 Helen Putnam Award of Excellence

Established in 1982 by the League of California Cities, the California Cities Helen Putnam Award for Excellence recognizes outstanding achievements and innovative solutions by California's 477 cities to: improve the quality of life in local communities, implement efficiencies in service delivery and operations, and provide services responsive to the local community. The selected cities have made unique contributions to community residents and businesses, contributions that may have resulted in lower costs or more effective delivery of services.
