Services

All library services are available to the distance education community, and we make every effort to meet the needs of distance learners. Some of our key services of use to distance learners include:

  • Link+
Link+ is a user initiated book request service that allows distance users to borrow books from several California libraries.

  • Interlibrary Services
Interlibrary Services (formerly Interlibrary Loan) is a free service through which a Distance Learner can obtain materials that the Library owns as well as material owned by other libraries. These are borrowed for you from another library and mailed to you at a street address. We cannot ship books to a P.O. box. Articles can be faxed to you.

  • Course Reserves (Electronic Reserves)
Course reserves consist of course-related books, book chapters, journal articles or web sites selected by the instructor.

  • SJSU Student Computer Service
Assistance with access to library electronic resources.

  • Contact Your Subject Specialist
Each SJSU academic department has a Librarian Subject Specialist to assist you with your library research.

  • eBooks
Access to full text versions of over 4400 books online through NetLibrary.
