Silicon Valley Center for the Blind and Sight Impaired
The Center currently offers quarterly ten- week classes on basic computing skills, including JAWS. Fees $30. Must be a client of the Center. The Center is expanding and renovating their computer lab this summer.

TransAccess
Individualized training. Dragon voice recognition and other adaptive programs. Fees for the Lab's programs, including evaluation and training sessions, may be paid for by the California State Department of Rehabilitation, Worker's Compensation Insurance carriers, or private pay on a sliding scale. TransAccess also has a limited number of scholarships available for people with disabilities who do not qualify for other funding sources. (Approximately $95 for 10-16 hours)

Sensory Access Foundation
Personalized evaluation and training for sight impaired in a number of adaptive technologies including JAWS, Magic and Dragon. Placement services. Fee based.

Community Colleges
Community Colleges provide training for disabled students enrolled in courses. The practice and procedure for each institution is different, but usually proof of disability and assessment is first required, then individual instruction is tailored to the student's needs, literacy and experience. Training in JAWS, Magic and Dragon.
