How do I pay for printing at King, and what does it cost?

All workstations in King are networked to Pay for Print Stations on these floors:

  • Your print job can be retrieved from a Pay for Print Station on any of these floors

How To Print:

  1. Go to any Pay for Print Station

  2. Swipe your copy card (Tower Card or VIP Gold Card) at the card reader on the keyboard

    • Make sure the card's memory strip is facing the green light on the reader

  3. Select your print job from the list on the screen

  4. When prompted, enter the job's name and password (case sensitive)

  5. Take your printouts from the printer next to the computer

How do I get a Copy Card? Back to top
  • SJSU students and faculty may pay to print by using their activated SJSU Tower Card (University ID card).

  • If you are not an SJSU student or faculty, you must use a VIP Gold Card to pay for printing.

    • You may purchase this reusable copy card from Card Value Centers on these floors: Lower Level, 2nd, 3rd.

  • To purchase this card, you must insert into the Card Value Center a $1 bill.

    • The VIP Gold Card costs 50¢, so there is 50¢ of print value on it at first.

    • Keep the card — you only need to buy it once. You may add value to it at any time as needed.

Note: Using bills ($1-$10), you may add value to a Tower Card or VIP Gold Card at any Card Value Center.
