In Person, Phone & Email Consulting



SJSU Student Computer Service (SCS) offers in-person, phone, and email consultation to SJSU students seeking help with library computing technologies. Services are available during regular King Library operating hours.

The SCS provides assistance with the following:
  • Troubleshooting remote access to the Library's electronic resources

  • Configuring personal laptops for use with the Library's personal laptop network

  • Use of library desktop computer stations -- including making and canceling a library computer reservation

  • Resetting of Library PINs

  • Using the campus wireless network

  • Activating and maintaining SJSUOne accounts (Note that only the University Helpdesk can reset passwords.)

  • Receiving, documenting, and relaying reports of problems with Library computers, access ports, and network access to the Library Information Technology Unit.

  • Referrals to appropriate University services and associated vendors
