In Person, Phone & Email Consulting
|
SJSU Student Computer Service (SCS) offers in-person, phone, and email consultation to SJSU students seeking help with library computing technologies. Services are available during regular King Library operating hours.
In response to the governor’s furlough directive, SJSU Student Computer Service will be closed on SJSU Library Furlough Days. Otherwise, SCS services are available during regular King Library Operating hours.
The SCS provides assistance with the following:

- Configuring personal laptops for use with the Library's personal laptop network
- Use of library desktop computer stations -- including making and canceling a library computer reservation
- Resetting of Library PINs
- Using the campus wireless network
- Activating and maintaining SJSUOne accounts (Note that only the University Helpdesk can reset passwords.)
- Receiving, documenting, and relaying reports of problems with Library computers, access ports, and network access to the Library Information Technology Unit.
- Referrals to appropriate University services and associated vendors
