Co-author Alice Wright will demonstrate the chants and poems in the book Alaska Animals, We Love You! and accompanying CD. Whether alone or in groups, children will learn to speak and read through this medium. Using rhythm, rhyme, ostinatos, instruments or melody, each poem instructs about language. Most of these poems or chants teach scientific facts about Alaska animals. The sparkling illustrations will dazzle every animal-loving heart. The CD, which is included in this hard cover book, will add to the fun children will have with Alaska Animals, We Love You!.

The Tully Community Library will be presenting, The Wild (Rated G). Ryan is a teenage lion in the New York City Zoo who, after playing with some other animals, accidentally ends up in a crate headed for Africa. His dad Samson and his zoo pals witness this and the motley crew � a dim-witted anaconda, a smart but dysfunctional giraffe and a Koala who's sick of being "cute" - must pool their limited resources to rescue their friend. Light refreshments will be served through the generous support of the Friends of the Tully Community Library.

Lotus in the West: Bilingual Storytime
