How To Enable Javascript

AOL | Firefox | Internet Explorer ( IE ) 5+ | IE 4 | IE 3 | Mozilla | Netscape 4+ | Netscape 3 | Opera

AOL Browser

 
- Go to the My AOL menu, select Preferences
- Select WWW
- From the Security tab, select Custom Level
- Scroll to Scripting. From Scripting of Java applets, select Enable
- Select OK. Select OK again
- Close Preferences
- Restart the browser

- Go to the keyword Netscape
- Download the Netscape browser
- Use this browser with AOL in order to access and use JavaScript-enabled sites
 

Firefox 0.9.x

 
- Select Options from the Tools menu
- Select the Web Features icon
- Check Enable JavaScript
- Select OK
- Refresh your page
 

Internet Explorer 5.x, 6.x

 
- Select Tools from your menu bar, then select Internet Options
- Select the Security tab and select the Custom Level button
- In the dialogue box, scroll to the Scripting section and enable "Active Scripting" & "Scripting of Java Applets" (click in the radio button)
- Select OK in each dialogue box
- Refresh your page
 

Internet Explorer 4.x

 
- Select View from your menu bar
- Select Preferences, then select Advanced
- Select Internet Options, then the Security tab
- For the Internet Zone, select Custom and then Settings
- Scroll down to the Scripting area of the list
- Under Scripting, set "Active scripting" to Enable, and set "Scripting of Java applets" to Enable
- Select OK and return to the Security Setting
- Select Apply, select OK
- Refresh your page
 

Internet Explorer 3.x

 
- Select View from your menu bar
- Select Options, then select the Security tab
- At the bottom of the page in the Active Content box, make sure all boxes are checked
 

Mozilla 1.x

 
- Select Preferences from the Edit menu
- Select the arrow next to Advanced
- Select Scripts & Plugins
- Check Navigator beneath "Enable Javascript for"
- Select OK
- Select Reload
 

Netscape 4.x, 5.x, 6

 
- Select Edit from your menu bar.
- Select Preferences
- Select Advanced from the tree menu.
- "Enable Java" and "Enable Java script"
- Select OK

 

Netscape 3.x

 
- Select Options from your menu bar
- Select Network Preferences, then select Languages
- "Enable Java" and "Enable Java script" should both be checked
- Select OK
 

Opera 5.x

 
- Select File, then Preferences
- Select Plugins from the side menu.
- Under JavaScript check "Enable JavaScript"
- Under Java check "Enable Java" (Note: You must have a Java plugin)
