California Pioneers of Santa Clara County Essay Contest

 
Each year the local organization California Pioneers of Santa Clara County sponsors an historical essay contest. The subject can be any person, place, or event concerning Santa Clara County from its beginning to the recent past. Essays must be 3,000-10,000 words in length. The contest is open to all, and a final prize of $500 is awarded. For more information about the essay contest, contact:

One copy of each essay entered in the contest is deposited in the California Room. The essays may be read whenever the California Room is open.
