Topographic Maps of Local History in California Room

The California Room owns a collection of historic topographic maps for Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties dating back to 1899. While some of these maps are color originals, most are black and white photoreproductions.

These maps can be very helpful in tracing the impact of settlement on the land by showing natural and manmade features such as waterways, building, mines, dams, and other structures.
