About the Collections

Ebooks do not have to be "returned" and there will never be any fines for overdue or lost items. When downloadable ebooks reach their "due date" they become unreadable and can be deleted.

A limitation of the download technology is that most downloadable ebooks cannot be returned early. You can delete them at any time but they will stay on your account for the full lending period.

DOWNLOADABLE

Overdrive eBook (Adobe Reader and Mobipocket)

• Can be downloaded and read offline from most computers and PDAs.

Overdrive Digital Audiobook, Overdrive Digital Music and Pimsleur Language Digital Audiobook

• Can be downloaded and played offline on most computers and most digital audio players.

Note: All downloadable content can be "checked out" but not downloaded onto library computers. We are piloting library download computers that can be used to download content to personal audio players. However, the content will still not be playable on the library computers. The library computers will only be used to transfer content to personal audio players.
