About Remote Access to eBooks and Digital Audio

Almost all ebooks are available remotely — outside the library — via the Internet with a San Jose library card or San Jose State University ID.

SJSU - Outside King Library, enrolled San Jose State University students and faculty have access to these collections:

  • Classical Music Library
  • Ebrary Academic Complete
  • History E-Book Project
  • netLibrary (SJSU subscription)
  • Safari Tech (SJSU subscription).

SJPL - Outside King Library and San Jose Public Library branches, San Jose Public Library card holders have access to these collections:

  • California Missions
  • netLibrary (SJPL subscription, includes Self-Help Law collection)
  • OverDrive Digital Library
  • Pimsleur Language
  • Safari Tech (SJPL subscription)

All collections are available outside the library to SJSU students and faculty who are also SJPL patrons.

Why the remote access restriction and what is the difference between the collections?
