The John Cotton Dana Award is one of the most coveted and perhaps the
most prestigious of the awards given by the American Library Association
(ALA). Sponsored by H.W. Wilson and ALA's Library Administration and Management
Association (LAMA), the award honors outstanding library public relations,
whether a summer reading program, a year-long centennial celebration,
fundraising for a new college library, or an innovative partnership in
the community.
