Two parallel walls in the Government Periodicals and Microfilm Section are covered with millwork derived from Pieter Breughel’s depiction of the Tower of Babel (Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna). Mirrors occupying the window frames of the millwork reinforce the theme of infinite reproduction.
