- This book is absolutely amazing, it was so good I couldn't even put it down! School shooting, and relates to what young teens like us is struggling with, dealing with the "popular" group, bullies and trying to find out who you really are. Jodi Picoult delivers an another amazing book.

- Oblivion Road (Book)
- Author: Alex McAulay
- I loved this book. It has so much suspense you have to know what happpends next. If you read it, there will be a shocking suprise at the end. It was just interesting when they got stranded in the snow and you just want to know how they are going to survive.

- Kiss My Math (Book)
- Author: Danica McKellar
- This is the second book in which Danica McKellar, (you know her from West Wing) attempts to show girls that math is actually pretty cool. And she suceeds! I flunked Algebra 1 and now I have to take it again (wah!) so this book is really helping me to get on track again. She explains the most difficult lessons in pre-algebra tha helps me to learn the hieroglyphics of Algebra 1. She makes it fun to learn and she shows us how to kick pre-algebra in the you know where!
Highly recommended.
The first book is Math Doesn't Suck and is also really good.

- Book about Crime. This isn't the first book so read the book Death by Bikini. Its about a girl who only lives with her dad, because her mom left her three years before. She goes and visits her mom and finds out all these secrets that have been hidden from her, and that are soon revealed.

- The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod : Eighth Grade Bites (Book)
- Author: Heather Brewer
- This book is just mainly about vampires. But its about a vampire who wasn't supposed to be born. And him just being born is a crime, now most of the vampires are after him. And he may be some prophecy called the Pravus. Its interesting, its just about a normal kid who has lost both his parents, and thinks its his fault.

- Among the Hidden (Book)
- Author: Margaret Peterson Haddix
- As a third child, Luke could never go out of his house in public. He had seen his older brothers turn in hw and recieve hw several hours later. Luke had always wished to be able to go to school or at least be able to go outside. He sees someone across the street staring out from their attic's window just as luke does every day. But when he tells his parents they tell him that it's just his mind playing tricks on him. Finally, he gets his chance when both his parents are at work and his brothers are at school. He sneeks across the street while being careful not to be seen and easily manages to get in their house. "Aaaahhhhhh. Who r u." The Talbots have 3 kids too. "I'm Jen. Jen Talbot." Jen shows Luke that what the governor has done to 3rd children is wrong. She shows him a website where millions of 3rd children and Jen has a plot to go and confront the governor. Luke does want to take part, but when Jen and the other kids go, they all die. The governor shoots them to death. I personally suggest this book for the action and the mystery.

- This book is about a popular boy who turn into a monster by a witch. He was told that he only have two year to get a girl to fall in love with him. What will happen next? Come on out to the library and find out!

- Twilight (Book)
- Author: Stephenie Meyer
- This book blew my mind. I, personally, did not like reading at the time but my cousin Emily recommended it to me. I finished the book within 2 days. The book is about an ordinary girl named Isabella Swan who decides to move from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks, Washington to live with her Dad, Charlie so that her mom and new husband can travel for his Baseball career. She goes to school and discovers an odd family known as the Cullens. They start off a little rocky but Bella then falls in love with Edward. Problems arise, the climax is awesome. You really have to read the book, it's so descriptive. I didn't not like anything about it. Everything was great. It begins slow but it ends so awesomely. TRUST ME, you wouldn't not want to read it.

- A Corner of the Universe (Graphic Novel)
- Author: Ann M. Martin
- Love this book! You have to read it for yourself! It's about a girl who's 13. She's telling her story of the summer she turned 12. She finds out she has an uncle who's mentally ill. He does crazy things, and in the end, he commits suicide.

- The Princess Diaries (Book)
- Author: Meg Cabot
- The Princess Diaries is a series about a girl named Mia Thermopolis. She is shocked to find out that she is to one day rule the small country of Genovia. She writes a series of humorous entries in her journal about her life at school involving her friends and relationships as well as going through life as a princess and dealing with her mean grandmother. I normally don't like reading books written in a diary format, but this particular series is written with comedy and an interesting plot that some girls may find they can relate to.

- Looking for Alaska (Book)
- Author: John Green
- This is one of the best books I have ever read. It really explores human actions and ideas. It looks into life. Although writen for teens, adults will also enjoy it. This is really a great book.

- Shaman King (Graphic Novel Series)
- Author: Hiroyuki Takei
- This series, by Hirouyuki Takei, is an awesome adventure filled with action, crazy ideas, plenty of fantasy, and even a bit of romance. Yoh Asakura is a shaman, a long line of "magicians" who can see and call on spirits. Every 500 years, The Shaman Contest is held to hunt out the next Shaman King. The Shaman King will be all-powerful. Yoh meets many friends in this amazing manga series.

- Author: Ellen Raskin
- This book is about a mysterious murder and the resedent of Sunset Tower have clues and partner to figure out who the murder, stealer, bookie, the mistake and the bomber.
I like this book becuase it puts my brain to work, has suspendful funny and cooky event, and the book has some wacky character I enjoyed a lot.

- The Last Olympian (Book)
- Author: Rick Riordan
- This is the last book in the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series and it's amazing! It has everything, action, adventure, and even a little romance. You shouldn't read it unless you've read the other four books, though.

- This book is amazing. The world is so different. Everything is recyclable, there are no wars, and everyone gets surgery on their sixteenth birthday to become beautiful, healthy and oops! Can't tell you about the last part. I can tell you that this perfectly pretty world hides a very ugly secret.

- 5 friends stranded in a snow snowstorm, after their car crashes, find a prison van deserted nearby. The driver - brutally murdered - is ice cold. Whoever did this is still lurking about. Will you read on? This is just the perfect bone-chilling enticipating novel about the human's need to survive.

- Percy Jackson always thought that he had wrotten luck. Every school year some crazy happens, that makes him suspended. One day he realizes that his best friend Grover is actually a satyr and that the ancient greek gods are still living among them and that he is actually the son of one of the Big three (Zeus, Hades,Poseidon).

- Inside Girl (Book)
- Author: J. Minter
- Inside Girl is a wonderful book. It's about Flan Flood and her trying figure out how she wants to fit in, in high school. High school is just around the corner for her. If you want to get the official story behind some of her life check out the series before Flan's. Flan is really mature for an eighth grader because she hangs out with her brother (Patch's) clique. Everyone calls them the Insiders. Inside Girl is one of my faviorite books because I can easily relate to her without via clubs. I suggest you go to the nearest library and check it out.

- That Don't Make Me a Bad Guy (Music CD)
- Author: Toby Keith
- This is Toby Keith's latest CD (yes I know some of you have never heard of him), and to give a summary of the Big Dog Daddy, he is a rebel in country music from the start and that is why it is cool with me. In this album, the songs that were home runs for me were "Lost You Anyway", "She Never Cried in Front of Me" and "God Love Her". Each of those songs tell stories and somtimes can be quite gentle. On the other hand, you have "The Time It Would Take", which is pretty funny, at least in my opinion and "You Already Love Me" is a nice song too. Even though I was not impressed with the album layout, the songs make up for it and I am wearing out my stereo listening to it.

- It's a classic, with the protagonist dealing with a romance developing at a rapid speed, bloodthirsty vampires, a comatose mother, glittery warlocks, snarling werewolves, not to mention demons! It's redefining "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" with all its twist plots and realistic characters with their maelstrom of emotions!

- Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox (Book)
- Author: Eoin Colfer
- IT was sooooo good. I love how Artemis changed throughout the whole series - even being in love with Holly Short. It was adventurous, exciting, romantic, and fun traveling back in time.

- This book was very good! I think it would be great for girls in between teen and children. So like for 10-13 year olds. It is a SEREIS that will keep you wanting more!

- Honey, Baby, Sweetheart (Book)
- Author: Deb Caletti
- I read this book during the summer time and I thought that it was pretty good. It was very entertaining because it had many things going on at once and I never got bored. I really love first person narratives and Honey, Baby, Sweetheart is written in first person. I enjoyed this book and I think that others would to.

- Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging (Book)
- Author: Louise Rennison
- I love it!!!!! This series is about a girl named Georgia and her confessions in her diary, it is like reading your best friends diary from England with her permission. To make matters even better there is a new movie too!! The guy who plays Robbie (the sex god that Georgia loves) is played by none other than Aaron Johnson the hottest guy ever!!!!!!

- Redneck Woman: Stories From My Life (Book)
- Author: Gretchen Wilson
- This is an autobiography that my teacher called "trashy", but really it isn't like that. This is the story of a woman who had been dealt a bad deal and she made the best of what she had, who mangaged with hard work to take the country music business by storm. From growing up in a small town, to Nashville, TN, Gretchen Wilson tell's it like it is. This book is definitley not for kids under 13, however it appeals to my life ain't roses aspect. Gretchen Wilson has inspired me to be the best I can, and reinforces the fact that someone always has it worse than you, yet can overcome it.
