Olive Boa Reading to Children

Reading to Children is a library program in which trained community volunteers share the joy of reading with children of all ages. Look for the volunteers with the volunteer lanyards in the children's area of the library. Reading to Children is available at most San José Public Library branches, as well as the King Library.

If you would like to become a Reading to Children volunteer please contact Volunteer Services at (408) 808-2181, or email us at volunteer.sjpl@sjlibrary.org. Volunteers must be at least fifteen years of age and able to make a 6-month commitment to volunteer at least one hour per week.
