How to Enable Cookies in Your Browser



Cookies required!!!

Licensing agreements for these databases require that access be extended only to authorized users. Once you have been validated by this system, a "cookie" is sent to your browser as an ongoing indication of your authorization to access these databases. It will only need to be set once during login.

As you access databases, they may also use cookies. Your ability to use those databases may depend on whether or not you allow those cookies to be set. To enable cookies, please follow the direction below:

Internet Explorer | Netscape Navigator | Mozilla
For Internet Explorer 6 Back to top
  1. Choose Tools from the Menu bar, then Internet options
  2. Select the Privacy tab then move the slider to Low
  3. Save changes by clicking OK
  4. Close the window and start again

  5. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Select the Privacy tab then click Default
For Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5
  1. Choose Tools from the Menu bar, then Internet options
  2. Select the Security tab then move the slider to Low
  3. Select Custom Level... button near the bottom of the window
  4. Scroll down to Cookies in the new dialog, and set both "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" and "Allow per-session cookies to Enable.
  5. Save changes by clicking OK
  6. Close the window and start again

  7. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Select the Privacy tab then click Default
For Macintosh Internet Explorer
  1. Choose Edit from the Menu bar, then select Preferences
  2. Select Receiving Files: Cookies
  3. Select When receiving cookies: Never ask from the pull down menu, then click OK
  4. Save changes by clicking OK
  5. Close the window and start again

  6. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Select the Privacy tab then click Default
For Netscape Navigator 4.5+, 6 and Macintosh Netscape Back to top
  1. Choose Edit from the menu bar, then Preferences
  2. Select Category: Advanced
  3. Check the boxes called Accept all cookies then click OK
  4. Save changes by clicking OK
  5. Close the window and start again

  6. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Check the boxes called Accept only cookies that get sent back ... then click OK
For Netscape Navigator 7
  1. Choose Edit from the menu bar, then Preferences
  2. Expand the Category: Privacy & Security by clicking the arrow to itsleft
  3. Select Cookies
  4. Check the boxes called Enable all cookies then click OK
  5. Save changes by clicking OK
  6. Close the window and start again

  7. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Check the boxes called Enable cookies for the originating web site only then click OK
For Mozilla Firefox/Suite
  1. Choose Tools from the menu bar, then Options
  2. Select the Privacy in the left part of the window
  3. Expand Cookies section
  4. Check the the box called Enable cookies and Accept cookies normally
  5. Save changes by clicking OK
  6. Close the window and start again

  7. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Check the boxes called Enable cookies and for the originating web site only then click OK
For Mozilla versions
  1. Choose Edit from the menu bar, then Preferences
  2. Select the Privacy & Security in the left part of the window
  3. Select Cookies
  4. Check the the box called Enable all cookies.
  5. Save changes by clicking OK
  6. Close the window and start again

  7. * Note: AFTER completing this activity: If you wish to reset cookies to your original setting, Check the boxes called Enable cookies for the originating web site only then click OK
