Role of Volunteers in Our Library

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available at library locations across the city. Volunteering at the library is a terrific way to use your talents, provide valuable service to the community, learn new skills and meet great people!

Some of the current opportunities include helping adults learn to read, giving tours of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, reading to children, and providing general assistance at the library. Check out our list of current volunteer opportunities for job descriptions.

To apply for a volunteer position, print out the application ( Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view form) and return it to Volunteer Services, the address is on the application. Hope to hear from you soon!
