2008 SJSU Graduating Library Student Assistant Reception

In order to honor 36 graduating student assistants who have worked in the library while attending classes, University Library Dean, Ruth Kifer, held a reception on April 30, 2007.In celebration of the graduation of and their exemplary work at the King Library, On Thursday April 3rd University Library Dean Ruth Kifer will recognize the work of 28 library student employees who completed a degree in December 2007 or will graduate in May, August or December 2008. The 28 students have worked in departments ranging from Access to Reference, providing invaluable service to their fellow students and all the patrons of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. The event honoring the students will recognize them individually for their contributions as student employees. Each student has selected a new book from the library collection that will contain a commemorative bookplate with his or her name.

The University Library faculty and staff are proud of our student employees and wish them good luck in their careers.
