Tully Community Branch Library
|
|
On
January 22, 2005, Tully Community Branch Library opened its doors
as the second of six new libraries to be constructed as a result
of the Branch Library Bond Measure approved by voters in November
2000. It is a fun and exciting place where you can visit with friends
and neighbors at the Internet Café, find a cozy place to
read with your children or relax by the fireplace in the comfortable
Community Living Room. Within the 24,300 square feet of library
space, you will find group
study areas, a technology lab, and a community
meeting room that seats up to 109 people.
The Tully Community Branch Library features a Family
Learning Center, the first of its kind in the San José
Public Library System to organize collections and programming specifically
for ESL, citizenship, family literacy, and lifelong learning. The
Family Learning Center is collaborating with other organizations
to provide services to families and the new immigrant community.
Materials checked out from any San José Public Library branch
may be returned to Tully Community Branch Library. For your convenience,
you may use the outside bookdrop when the library is closed.
