    • Fiction books for adults including mysteries, romance paperbacks and science fiction – “new” adult fiction is on the Ground Floor

    • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Civil Rights special collection
    • Cliff Notes, Career, Computer Information and Learn a Language collections
    • Large Print fiction and nonfiction books
    • Nonfiction videos arranged by Dewey Decimal Classification
       
  • English Language Materials for Teens (or Young Adults)
    • Teen fiction (including large print), graphic novels, comic books, DVDs, videos, magazines and music CDs
    • Nonfiction young adult (YA) books are interfiled with adult nonfiction books (see section directly above)

  • International Language Materials for Adults and Teens -- Note: Juvenile language materials are in the Children’s Room
    • Books and media together for each language
    • Three major collections – Chinese, Spanish and Vietnamese – each with its own shelving area apart from the other languages

    • Equipment and instructions for listening to albums, CDs and cassettes are available at 5th Floor listening stations and 6th Floor listening rooms
    • Headphones, phonograph needles, record-cleaning equipment and room keys may be checked out at the Academic Reserves desk on the Ground Floor

    • Theses -- SJSU masters theses are located in front of public elevators on floors 6-8
       
    • Folios -- Oversized materials that cannot be shelved with regular materials
      • All folios are located on the 8th Floor to the right of the public elevators, except for Music and Cultural Heritage Center folios (see 5th Floor Map)
