Contact and Membership Information | Book Sales

The Friends of the Joyce Ellington Library are local residents who volunteer their time and efforts to support and supplement library programs. They sell slightly used and new books to raise money for programs. They advocate for library programs and funding to the Library Commission, City Council and other residents of San José.

Meeting times: 6:30 – 7:30 PM, once a month, on the first Tuesday of the month.

Book Sales

Used books may be purchased on the honor system year-round in the Friends area of the library. Please put payment through the payment slot in the wall of the Friends area. For more information, please contact (408) 808-3043.

Donations of gently used book during library open hours are greatly appreciated. Please do not donate encyclopedias or books that are torn, badly stained or water-damaged.
