San Jose Public Library presents - Battle of the Bands 2008
 Calling all teen musicians! Do you play in a band or perform solo? Now's your chance to be heard! In honor of Teen Tech Week, it's time to "Tune In @ your library" with San Jose Public Library's first-ever Battle of the Bands competition for teens ages 12-18. Enter online by February 15th for your chance to compete at a live concert in March & win awesome prizes!
- GRAND PRIZE: Ten Hours of Studio Recording Time @ The Venue & $150 Gift Certificate to Guitar Center
- Second Place: $100 Gift Certificate to Guitar Center
- Third Place: $50 Gift Certificate to Guitar Center

We have an impressive lineup of local teen musicians, and now it’s up to YOU to decide who will go on to play and compete for prizes at the live concert at Almaden Branch Library on March 1st.

The Finalists
You voted, and we listened! Thank you to all of the talented bands that competed in this competition, and thank you to all of our voters. It was a close competition, but here are the five finalists who will be going on to play the live concert on Saturday, March 1st at Almaden Branch Library. Live Concert Event (March 1)
The five finalists chosen for the live concert at Almaden Branch Library will have up to 20 minutes to perform their set in front of an audience and panel of judges. This exciting concert event will showcase local talented youth, and the judging panel will determine the grand prize winner of San Jose Public Library's Battle of the Bands!
