San Jose Public Library presents - Battle of the Bands 2009
In honor of Teen Tech Week, it's time to "Press Play @ your library" with San Jose Public Library's second annual Battle of the Bands competition for teens ages 12-18.
- GRAND PRIZE: 15 Hours of Studio Recording Time @ Madhouse, a premier local recording studio AND an on-air interview on Ground Zero Radio, 90.5 KSJS
- Second Place: $100 Gift Certificate to Guitar Center
- Third Place: $50 Gift Certificate to Guitar Center
This contest has 2 parts. The bands will first battle it out here on our official contest site in an online voting competition. The top 5 finalists will be invited to play at the final concert event for a chance to win prizes. Check out the rules for complete contest information. Voting has ended! Thank you to all of the talented bands that competed in this competition, and thank you to all of our voters. It was a close competition, but here are the five finalists who will be going on to play the live concert on Saturday, March 14th at Almaden Branch Library. Please join us in celebrating Teen Tech Week with some great live music from local teens, and find out who the judges will choose as the Grand Prize winners of Battle of the Bands!

Live Concert Event (March 14)
The final concert event will be held at Almaden Branch Library and Community Center at 2:00 PM on March 14th. The 5 finalists will have up to 20 minutes to perform their set in front of an audience and a judging panel of local music experts. All are invited to attend this exciting concert event, which will showcase local talented youth, and the judges will determine the grand prize winner of San Jose Public Library's Battle of the Bands!
